Landmarks Lion Award 2007

CONGRATULATIONS TO THIS YEAR'S HONOREE, LISA ACKERMAN!

Thanks to everyone who attended this year’s Landmarks Lion Award ceremony on
October 24, 2007. The event, held at the historic Prince George Ballroom in the Madison Square North Historic District, was a smashing success with over 200 individuals in attendance.

HDC's 2007 honoree is truly one of preservation's unsung heroes, not only in New York City, but on an international level. Beyond her professional responsibilities at the Samuel H. Kress Foundation and now at the World Monuments Fund, Ms. Ackerman has dedicated countless hours to the boards of numerous New York nonprofits, including the Neighborhood Preservation Center (the Historic District Council’s home), the Historic House Trust of New York City, and the New York Preservation Archive Project.
