Landmarks Lion Award 2008
CONGRATULATIONS
TO THIS YEAR'S HONOREE, WALTER MELVIN!
Thanks to everyone who attended
this year’s Landmarks Lion Award ceremony on
October 29, 2008. The event, held at Bridgewaters in the South Street
Seaport Historic District, was a smashing success, with over 250
in attendance!
Walter B. Melvin's firm has
helped to preserve more than 1,000 buildings throughout the five
boroughs. He is known for his work on important institutional and
civic buildings such as The Frick Collection, The Cloisters, The
Jewish Museum, General Theological Seminary, Grace Church and the
New York Public Library's famous Lions - Patience and Fortitude.
