The "North Slope" includes Park Slope's original "Gold Coast" of stately mansions, imposing row houses, and beautiful churches by some of Brooklyn's leading architects including Montrose Morris, C.P.H. Gilbert, and Parfitt Brothers. Much of this area was included in the original Park Slope Historic District, designated in 1973.
