The Historic Districts Council, the citywide advocate for New York’s historic neighborhoods, seeks a full-time Preservation Assistant. Duties will include providing administrative and office support for small non-profit organization serving New York City communities, supporting membership, development efforts & special events, maintaining ongoing educational and outreach programs and helping to initiate and plan new programs, and working closely with staff and volunteers on special projects relating to neighborhood preservation goals. Strong writing skills, organizational abilities, communication skills and interest in New York City history required. Background in non-profit administration and development encouraged. Web skills a plus.

Some evening hours. Must be New York City resident.
