Six To Celebrate 2013 Application

The Historic Districts Council is happy to announce a call for applications for the 2013 Six to Celebrate.

The purpose of this program is to provide strategic resources to neighborhood groups at a critical moment so that they can reach their preservation goals. The program will help community activists learn to use tools such as documentation, research, zoning, landmarking, publicity, and public outreach to advance local preservation campaigns. The selected groups will receive HDC’s hands-on help strategizing and implementing all aspects of their efforts over the course of the 2013 calendar year.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR ASSEMBLING THE SIX TO CELEBRATE NOMINATION PACKET

Fill out the form below and send in all additional documents-

CHECKLIST OF ENCLOSURES

Please send the following as both one printed hard copy and as digital documents on one CD-ROM. Digital images (photos, maps, scans, etc.) must be in the form of JPEG files, at least 300 dpi and 4” x 6”, on a CD-ROM.

___ A completed nomination form and accompanying answers.

___ Up to 20 labeled, current images that clearly illustrate the district – the good and the bad (digital and hard copy).

___ A map showing proposed boundaries (digital and hard copy).

___ Copies of further documentation such as newspaper articles, relevant historic images, landmark nomination forms or reports (please do not send originals).
