Join us as we navigate the historic waterfront community of Saint George. Special emphasis will detail, among other things, the area’s descriptive architecture, unique infrastructure, the former Quarantine Station, the historic Staten Island ferry, and recent developments within the neighborhood and along the waterfront. Held in collaboration with the Historic Districts Council.

Discover the impact that Irish-Americans have had on Staten Island during a lively discussion in honor of Saint Patrick’s Day and the Irish who have settled our borough. Through biographical accounts of fascinating personalities, we’ll examine: the Irish-Americans connection to local politics, sports, and religion; the immigrant Quarantine Station in Tompkinsville–a final destination for thousands of Irish immigrants during the potato famines and the Irish-American community of Staten Island today. Join us for a grand time!
