ALERT: Public Record Left Open for City & Suburban First Avenue Estates

From FRIENDS of the Upper Est Side Historic Districts (www.friends-ues.org):

Yesterday, The Landmarks Preservation Commission held a public hearing to restore the original boundaries of City and Suburban Homes Company, First Avenue Estate (E. 64th Street to East 65th Street between First and York Avenues) to include 429 East 64th and 430 East 65th Street.

It was encouraging to see a great outpouring of support from residents of the building, neighbors and many others. Thank you to all who attended and presented such wonderful and thoughtful testimony!

However, the landmarks preservation commission DID NOT VOTE yesterday. They will likely conduct a public meeting next Tuesday November 21 and vote at that time. For the exact time and schedule, please visit the LPC website at www.nyc.gov/html/lpc this Friday, November 17th.

The public record is still open, so mail, email or fax your comments:
