The local community board is expected Wednesday to vote against endorsing Fordham University’s plan to add about 2.35 million square feet to its Lincoln Center campus.

Manhattan Community Board 7 objects to the plan, which includes a new law school, dorms, parking garages and residential towers. The Board believes the buildings are too large and bulky for the campus, which is on a super block bounded by Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues and West 60th and 62nd streets. It also said the proposed parking could exacerbate traffic in the neighborhood.

In addition, the board said the university shouldn’t be allowed to sell land that was obtained through eminent domain for the purpose of education to developers who will build residential housing on it. Fordham plans to sell two plots to developers to help defray the cost of the expansion.
