SILENT AUCTION!
Take home jewelry and collectibles for a fraction of their value. Get a week in a vacation home for a song. Plus, there’s furniture, artwork, baby clothes and more. The bidding on many items starts as low as $10, so this is a chance to name the price you want to pay and pick up some really great bargains, all while supporting a good cause.
Proceeds Benefit the Building Fund for the Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church, a 151-year old Historic Landmark in the heart of Fort Greene that is often referred to as Fort Greene’s “Town Hall” for all the community meetings, events, issues forums, debates and educational workshops hosted there. Home to Brooklyn’s largest collection of TIFFANY stained glass windows and a 270-foot wide, 18-foot tall mural painted in the 1970s by a Pratt Student, Lafayette Avenue is also now home to the Irondale Center for Theater, Education and Outreach – the first new theater space within the BAM Cultural District. All this, while continuing as a place where people of any faith, or none at all, can come to discover the sacred in life through openness, honesty, laughter, music and prayer.
ALL ARE WELCOME TO ATTEND
This public event will be held in the Community Room at 85 South Oxford Street. Come for the food, the wine, the music and bargains galore at the silent auction. It’s going to be a fun night out, right in the heart of Fort Greene.
