Jamaica High School

Designated March 24, 2009

William Gompert, architect of the building, designed many new schools in the outer boroughs to deal with the increasing population. This high school provided the latest in facilities such as laboratories, home economics room and athletic fields. It was built in Georgian Revival style with a symmetrical arrangement of the building with its wings.
