Join the Historic Districts Council for our first Young Preservationist Party and Kroessler Award Presentation in the Davis Educational Center at the Fraunces Tavern Museum! We invite current students, recent graduates, and early career preservationists to meet new colleagues and friends, reconnect with existing ones, and network with leaders in the preservation field. Light bites and libations will be provided!
HDC’s 2025 Kroessler Award recipient, Frederick, will also give a short presentation on his award-winning subject, Preserving the Past, Serving the Present: The Role of Contemporary Restaurants in Balancing Modern Functionality with Historic Preservation in New York City.

The Young Preservationist Party and Kroessler Award Presentation is supported by the Richard Hampton Jenrette Foundation.

The Jeffrey Kroessler Student Research Award is an annual juried award highlighting original graduate-level research on topics relevant to historic preservation in New York City. This research award will provide emerging preservationists an opportunity to gain public recognition by showcasing their research that is beneficial to the advancement of the historic preservation community. At least one $1,000 award is presented each year and the awarded recipient(s) will have the opportunity to publicly present their research to peers and preservationists.
