February 13, 2007 — NOW that preservationists have failed in their far-fetched campaign to landmark the former Dakota Stables, we’ve learned exactly what Related plans to build in their place.
The west blockfront of Amsterdam Avenue between 76th and 77th streets, home to low-slung garages, will bring forth 350 Amsterdam Ave. – a 16-story condo project with lots of brick, giant arched street-level windows and other “Romanesque” touches.
Mr. Cuozzo goes on to list the added benefits of the projects, such as “brightening up a dismal stretch of Amsterdam Avenue” and free membership to the new Equinox for residents!
