VIKING FEST 2009!

This Saturday the Scandinavian East Coast Museum will be hosting their annual Viking Fest in Bliss/Owl’s Head Park at 68th Street and Colonial Road from noon to 5:00. The event is free and will have a slew of great activities for children of all ages including: two re-enactment organizations, The Norseman, a half-size replica Viking ship and crew, rides, Scandinavian food and Scandinavian items for sale. The entertainment portion, Touched by the Vikings” will include: a band from Norway, Celtic Pipers, Step Dancers, Swedish Folk Dancers, Turkish drummers and assorted ethnic dances from Young Dancers in Repertory.

1:15 – 1:30 – Pas D’Armes – Re-enactors Procession
1:30 – 1:45 – Pipers
1:45 – 2:15 – Step Dancers
2:20 – 2:40 – Greek Dance
2:40 – 3:00 – Turkish Drumming
3:00 – 3:20 – Polish Dancers
3:30 – 3:50 – Swedish Dancers
4:30 – 5:00 – Young Dancers in Repertory – Finish with Maypole Dance
