ALERT: New HD on the Upper East Side
FRIENDS of the Upper East Side Historic Districts is pleased to announce that an expansion of the Upper East Side Historic District has been listed on the New York State and National Registers of Historic Places.
The expanded district includes portions of Lexington Avenue and residential sidestreets between East 60th and East 75th Streets. To learn more about this historic neighborhood and the buildings that are included in the expansion, visit our web exhibit and buildings catalogue at www.lexingtonexhibit.org.
Visitors can view historic maps, vintage photographs, a historical narrative of the Upper East Side, the full National Register nomination, and most importantly, a catalogue of individual buildings within the extension, searchable by block, address, and year built.
