Free Concert in Historic Bandshell, Tuesday July 20

105th Season of Naumburg Orchestral Concerts – 3rd Concert – Tuesday, 20 July 2010, 7:30 PM

Historic Naumburg Bandshell, Concert Ground, Central Park.

WQXR’s Midge Woolsey shall guest announce the concert.

Tuesday, 20 July, features Time for Three performing in the third Naumburg Orchestral Concert.

Time for Three appears with Zachary De Pue & Nicolas Kendall, violin & Ranaan Meyer, double bass.

The ensemble will perform a program which draws from a selection of the pieces found on our website, www.naumburgconcerts.org and the order shall be announced from the stage.

Their music choices come from Time for Three Originals and Time for Three Arrangements.

This groundbreaking, category-shattering trio, transcends traditional classification, with elements of classical, country western, gypsy and jazz idioms forming a blend all its own. The members carry a passion for improvisation, composing and arranging, all prime elements of the ensemble’s playing. What started as a trio of musicians who played together for fun, while students at Philadelphia’s Curtis Institute for Music, evolved into Time for Three, or Tf3 for short, a charismatic ensemble with a reputation for limitless enthusiasm and no musical boundaries.
