News from 93rd Street/Marx Brothers Place

Just as the LPC prepares to visit the Carnegie Hill block often referred to as “Marx Brothers Place,” there’s a bit of new news from the 93rd Street Beautification Association:

Holy Cow! It’s a full-fledged MOVEMENT!!!!!! This is AMAZING!!!!

A comedy troupe who saw our Little Harpo movie on YouTube was so inspired by it, they have made their own movie in support of our preservation campaign. It’s a must see!

And, of course, once the NY Theater critic, Leonard Jacobs, saw the March Studios video, he immediately posted it on his very popular web site The Clyde Fitch Report!

And then there’s this: Curbed.com is telling folks to wear a fake black mustache to work on Friday in solidarity to the campaign to save Marx Brothers Place!

Now that’s what Arlo Guthrie called a movement (ref. ‘Alice’s Restaurant’)!
