Italian Heritage Tour of Woodlawn

Sunday, October 17, 2:00 p.m.

In partnership with the Uguaglianza Northeast Bronx Lodge #83 (Sons of Italy), Woodlawn is pleased to present a walking tour celebrating New York’s most famous and prominent Italians, including Fiorello LaGuardia, Congressman Vito Marcantonio, The Piccirilli Brothers (famous sculptors who carved some of the most significant marble sculptures in the U.S., including the Lincoln Memorial), and Order Sons of Italy in America founder Dr. Vincenzo Sellaro.

Tour is $10 per person, $5 for seniors and students, and children under 6 are FREE. Tour group meets at the Jerome Avenue entrance (near Bainbridge Avenue, across the street from the last stop on the #4 train), The Woodlawn Cemetery, Webster Avenue and E. 233rd St., Bronx, NY 10470.

Photographing Woodlawn Reception (FREE)

Monday, October 18, 6:00 p.m.

**Location: Lehman College Art Gallery in the Bronx

Friends of Woodlawn and Lehman College Art Gallery invite you to the reception for Photographing Woodlawn, an exhibition featuring the work of 26 artists whose photographs explore the sylvan landscapes and Gilded Age mausoleums of Woodlawn, one of American’s most important cemeteries.

The exhibition is presented at the Lehman College Art Gallery in the Robert Lehman Gallery from September 21 through December 15 (Tues – Sat: 10 am – 4 pm). Lehman College Art Gallery is located at 250 Bedford Park Boulevard West (at Goulden Avenue) in the Bronx. Free admission (all visitors, all hours).
