The city will re-evaluate whether a house belongs in the Douglaston Hill Historic District this month after the owner sued to have the home removed.

But owner Kevin Mosley said his property is being unfairly targeted for historic status and he has sued the city a second time to get it to leave him alone.

“The real reason behind this is the political pressure in the area,” Mosley said, and people “who are afraid that Douglaston is going to be developed.”

Mosley bought his home at 41-45 240th St. in October 2004 before the Landmarks Preservation Commission included the property in the Douglaston Hill Historic District but after hearings on the planned district had been held.
