This tower was built in 1927 by the Manhattan Company, a holding company that in 1955 merged with the Chase National Bank to create the Chase Manhattan Bank. It was the first tall building in Queens and it possesses well-preserved neo-Gothic style elevations. The most prominent feature of the building is its big clock tower on top of the tower.
