Designated November 23, 1965
The first designated New York City Historic District, Brooklyn Heights, is known for its 19th-century brownstone and brick homes, as well as churches and carriage houses. Federal, Gothic Revival and Anglo-Italianate styles can all be found there, but it is the Greek Revival style that is particularly notable.
