A block of thirty-two turn-of-the-19th-century, semi-detached row houses of brick and rough-cut stone flank Clay Avenue. Most were designed by Warren Dickerson, the architect of some of the finest surviving houses in the borough, in exuberant Neo-Renaissance and Eclectic styles. Three apartment buildings, designed by Neville & Bagge and built between 1909 and 1910, are included in the district.
