The Condict Store is a cast-iron building. The facade is characterized by double-height arcades on tall and slender columns, giving the facade its particular sense of verticality, lightness, and openness, which is particularly suitable to cast-iron construction. The rear elevation retains utilitarian iron rolling shutters and other elements of cast-iron construction including the iron pilasters, with Badger foundry plaques, framing the bays of the basement and first story.
