The Fairmont Building is a Classical Revival building with six floors. It was built in honor of the founder of the Plumber’s Trade Journal by his son, J.M. Heatherton. According to the Environmental Impact Study report, “The Fairmont Building is significant under Criterion A in the areas of commerce and industry and under Criterion C in the area of architecture.”
