Twenty-four of the original thirty-two Queen Anne houses designed by Lamb & Rich for John C. Henderson make up this district. In Henderson’s words, the two-story, brick and rough stone homes were built in this cul-de-sac for “persons of moderate means.” Completed in 1882, the structures are set back from the street with front yards and basement areaways separated from the sidewalk by low stonewalls.
