Various members of the Lawrence family held prominent positions in the city, and this graveyard serves as the last resting place of many notable members of this family. The half-acre plot has 89 graves, enclosed by a low stone wall topped by a brick wall with iron fence above. Today, the plot lies in the center of a residential block.
