Mark Hellinger Theater (Former Hollywood Theater) Interior

The Mark Hellinger Theater was built by Warner Brothers to be the Broadway showcase for the sound movies which that company pioneered and which transformed the course of American film-making. The interior was designed in an unusual style based on Baroque inspiration, and it includes unusual oval and circular spaces and rich gilded plaster ornament, sculpture, and murals.
