The Ocean on the Park Historic District comprises a group of twelve row houses built between 1909 and 1918 on Ocean Avenue, between Lincoln Road and Parkside Avenue, in Flatbush overlooking Prospect Park. The neighborhood of Flatbush remained rural until after the Civil War when Prospect Park and the Brooklyn Bridge made the neighborhood more fashionable and accessible.
