This sign was erected on the roof of Pepsi-Cola bottling facility in Long Island City. At the time of its construction (1049), it was the longest electric sign in New York State. In 2003, Pepsi sold the bottling facility to the Queens West Development Corporation, and the facility was demolished. The sign had to be temporarily relocated until it came back to its original place.
