    Tuesday, March 19, 2024
    6:00 – 7:00 p.m.
    Via Zoom

In this class, a former staff member in the Historic Preservation Office of the Department of Design and Construction (DDC) Jeremy Woodoff will discuss what the agency’s role and responsibilities are, how the existing built environment is incorporated, and what the process is if work is being done in a historic district, on an individual landmark, or on a building that might be significant architecturally but not designated. You will learn how the DDC was created, the different divisions within the agency, and how they’re organized. In addition, he will explain the process for getting a project from initiation through construction, some of the problems with the process, and how the DDC works with other agencies including the Landmarks Preservation Commission and the Public Design Commission.

    General Admission $5
