HDC is excited to launch our Business Development Collaborative Programming for the Garment District!
HDC’s program is a preservation, placemaking, and history project with the main focus to provide collaborative opportunities, resources, materials, and marketing to reinforce the importance of the businesses that make up the Garment District and promote the District as both a commercial and cultural destination. The program includes four components: a series of placemaking workshops with Pratt Institute; a networking event for Garment District businesses; a recorded series of salon gatherings hosted with New York Fashion Workforce Development Coalition open to the public; and an oral history series of recorded interviews with CityLore for businesses to tell their stories.
