Application is to legalize the construction of a rear yard addition without Landmarks Preservation Applicant: DMAD This was a large project to undertake without permits. We believe unapproved work should incur a fine which contributes to a fund that publicizes the permit process and the importance of getting projects approved. Action: Approved 7-2 with modification to remove the piers and replace the glass rail with metal. |

LPC-24-11713 114-18 179th Street – Addisleigh Park Historic District CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS HDC proudly worked with the Addisleigh Park Civic Association toward designation of the Addisleigh Park Historic District. We are also proud to be in the process of helping the community to certify the LPC historic district for the National Register, so that homeowners in Addisleigh Park can apply for historic tax credits to help maintain their properties. It is unfortunate to see this work done without permits, because LPC could have guided the applicant in an effort to maintain their slate roof and wood shingles. Action: Unanimously approved with modification that the applicant replace the vinyl siding with wood or Hardie Board. |
