Juneteenth Celebration at 227 Duffield Street!

From the 227 Abolitionist Place Museum:

Please join us to gather and remember the spirit of abolitionism and the journey to freedom at Brooklyn’s first Abolitionist Museum.

  • Watch a short documentary on the fight to preserve 227 Duffield Street
  • Meet with historians, community leaders and special guests
  • Participate in interactive drumming, dancing and spoken word performances
  • Learn about our programs and activities for youth and the community
  • Feel the entrance of an Underground Rail Road safe house
  • Join the movement to save this rail of the Freedom Train

Hors d’Oeuvres and refreshments will be served.  A minimum $25 donation is suggested and strongly encouraged.
