ALERT: 70 Lefferts Place Designated!

From David Conrad ([email protected]):

At today’s hearing, after a number of detailed and dramatic testimonies, the Landmarks Preservation Commission voted unanimously to give NYC landmark status to #70 Lefferts Place!
We’re very grateful to them for their decision, and also to Council Member Tish James, Simeon Bankoff and the Historic Districts Council, Sharon Barnes and the Society for Clinton Hill, Andrew S. Dolkart, Father Divine’s International Peace Mission, Patti and Schellie Hagan, all the folks who testified at the hearing, and everyone who wrote letters and signed petitions in support of saving #70.
We also appreciate owner/developer Christopher Morris’s willingness to work with the community, and support his effort to develop the house and property in a way which will benefit both his business and the neighborhood.

Have a very happy holiday season and New Year!
