ALERT:Dumbo hosts European Light Design Exhibits

DNA’s extensive community outreach for the historic preservation of our neighborhood has brought DUMBO to the attention of ELDA (European Lighting Design Association). After hearing their proposal in June to bring dramatic lighting to our architectural treasures, we would like to share this opportunity with you.

ELDA – a member of which is a DUMBO resident – typically works in Europe but is interested in expanding events to the US, specifically NYC and DUMBO. ELDA professionals work with students to design temporary light installations that feature approximately seven locations within a neighborhood. With DUMBO’s rich history there are no shortage of possibilites from the Brooklyn and Manhattan Bridges, Tobacco Warehouse, Gair buildings to the Grand Union Tea Company and more. We are particularly excitied that this event will help us celebrate the 125th anniversary of the Brooklyn Bridge as well as our own preservation efforts.

Please join us for the ELDA presentation:
