Celebrate the 75th Birthday of the Staten Island Museum!

It was on May 31, 1917, that numerous luminaries and dignitaries, including Staten Island Museum founders William T. Davis, Arthur Hollick, and Charles W. Leng, broke ground for Staten Island’s first museum! Join us as we celebrate the 90th anniversary of this historic day on Thursday, May 31, 2007.

Located at 75 Stuyvesant Place in St. George, the festivities will include:

8:30 – 9:30 a.m. Continental Breakfast for all visitors

9:30 a.m. – talk and tour of the History Archives and Library with Curator of History Patricia M. Salmon

2:00 p.m. – a behind the scenes tour of the Natural History Attic with Ed Johnson

3:30 p.m. – tour of the new exhibit, “Cynthia von Buhler: Show & Tell”

Every guest will receive a free Staten Island Museum publication. For this day only, new members who join in person will receive the 1917 Museum membership price of $3.00!
