Celebrate Tottenville!

Join the Preservation League of Staten Island on Friday, March 20, 2009, for the culmination of three years of work with a book signing and Power Point presentation of the book:

TOTTENVILLE, The Town the Oyster Built by Barnett Shepherd
A Staten Island Community, Its People, Industry and Architecture
7:30PM, Courtroom, Historic Richmond Town

CELEBRATE the author, Barnett Shepherd, who started with the Historic Resource Survey and took that data, including historic records, maps, photographs and on-site visits and used it to author a remarkable book.

CELEBRATE the Tottenville Historical Society including three outstanding women who volunteered thousands of hours assisting in the research, data gathering and overall support of the project—from the survey through the book production. The book is dedicated to Linda Cutler-Hauck, Tina Kaasmann-Dunn and Diane Schaming.

CELEBRATE the people of Tottenville who freely gave their financial support to the Historical Society for the publication of the book.

CELEBRATE the Preservation League of Staten Island for their part in the project—starting with the survey in 2006, support funding and the design and layout of the book by Preservation League of Staten Island Executive Director, Chan Graham.
