Join the Historic Districts Council for a program discussing conservation methods and case studies from work on historic buildings. Conservation is a key element to understanding the preservation of historic structures. Techniques are improving all the time, and architects should understand many of these practices to have a fuller knowledge of preserving and restoring historic buildings.

This program will feature presentations from several industry experts, including Kevin Daly, a project manager at Walter B. Melvin Architects; Mary Jablonski, principle of Jablonski Building Conservation; and Claudia Kavenagh, director of the New York offices of Building Conservation Associates. Also William Neeley Jr., deputy director of preservation of the Landmarks Preservation Commission will be on hand to answer attendees’ specific questions on how the LPC addresses conservation materials and techniques.
