EVENT: 4th of July Fireworks At the Alice Austen House

Many of you already know that the best place to watch Macy’s fireworks is from the Alice Austen Lawn. The panoramic view that stretches from the Statue of Liberty to the Verrazano Bridge creates the perfect framework for the color and light extravaganza.
To this spectacular experience we are this year adding “A Little Fireworks Music,” a concert by Viva Voce Brass. The performance begins at 8 PM. and features toe-tapping American patriotic and popular favorites by John Philip Sousa, Leroy Anderson, Irving Berlin, and many others.
This concert is made possible, in part, by an Encore grant from the Council on the Arts and Humanities for Staten Island (COAHSI), with public funding from the New York State Council on the Arts.
