ART DECO ON THE UPPER WEST SIDE
With Tony Robins
Tuesday, August 22, 2006
6pm, rain or shine

Tony Robins will lead us on a pleasant summer evening stroll along Central Park West for a closer look at the buildings that form Manhattan’s major residential skyline. We will see the great twin-towered skyscraper Art Deco apartment buildings – the Century, the Majestic, and the Eldorado – and other multi-colored jazz-age fantasties of high living overlooking the Park.

Meet at the northwest corner of 61st Street and Broadway, in front of the American Bible Society

Reservations must be made by August 15, 2006. Contact us at [email protected] or call (212) 496-8110.

LANDMARK WEST! is a non-profit award-winning community group working since 1985 to preserve the best of the Upper West Side’s architectural heritage from 59th to 110th Street between Central Park West and Riverside Drive. Owing in large part to our advocacy, there are a total of 2,606 designated landmarks in this area (up from only 337 in 1985).

This program is free and open to the public and is made possible through the support of the New York Council for the Humanities’ “Speakers in the Humanities” program.
