Gotham Gazette’s Reading NYC Book Club discussed historic preservation and urban development at its meeting on February 28, 2007. Two guest authors joined the meeting: Kevin Walsh, whose book Forgotten New York (based on his Web site by the same name) is a tribute to the city’s historic sites, and Roberta GRATZ, author of two books about urban development – The Living City and Cities Back From the Edge – and one of the commissioners on the city’s Landmarks Preservation Commission.
