“Advisors to more than 1,200 funds in The Trust support a wide variety of nonprofits in the City and across the country. Most of their grants are for operating support, and many are to major New York organizations. This is good news for the City’s nonprofits, many of which are starved
for unrestricted money to run their organizations, generally not included in government contracts or covered by foundations. It also gives The Trust the flexibility to use our permanent funds—those left to us by previous generations of caring New Yorkers. ”
