The Concerned Preservation Voters Initiative aims to gather community groups within New York’s historic neighborhoods into coalitions that are active during elections in their voting district around preservation and development concerns. The goal of the project is to educate political candidates about these issues during the campaign and beyond. In addition to organizing these coalitions, HDC will provide candidate questionnaires, forums, and press releases highlighting important concerns in each individual voting district. This project and its community coalitions are nonpartisan and will not endorse any particular candidate for political office.
