Holiday Events At Bartow-Pell Mansion Museum….in The Bronx!!!

Preview Candle Light Tour
Friday, December 5th Nutcracker tree
5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

 Enjoy the mansion in its full glory before anyone else. There will be choral music, gift items on sale in a holiday boutique, costumed guides and you’ll be able to walk through the mansion at your own pace. The free Bronx Seaside Trolley will also be transporting visitors from the Pelham Bay Train Station to Bartow-Pell Mansion and onto key City Island spots. Pricing for the Preview Candlelight Tour is: $15 Adult, $12 Seniors/Students and Free for children under 6 years old. Reservations are requested but not required. Annual Winter Family Day

View the Mansion decorated in the theme of the Nutcracker. Enjoy horse drawn wagon rides, take home craft projects, and have professional pictures taken with Kris Kringe ($20 extra per photo). Gift Items, baked goods and an early chance to bid on Silent Auction items will also be available. The highlight of this year’s event is the sing-a-long puppet show led by Liz Joice of Goat on A Boat. The puppet show staring “puppet mice” is based on Clement Clarke Moore’s, “Twas the Night Before Christmas” poem and will have performances at 11am and 12:30pm Appropriate for ages 3 and up. Pricing: $20 per child, free for adults; Members $15 per child. Registration is strongly suggested as seating for the puppet shows are limited. Contact 718-885-1461 or send email.

 

 

Bronx Arts Ensemble Holiday Music Concert At Bartow Pell

 Bartow-Pell Mansion welcomes back the Bronx Arts Ensemble who will provide a free St. Nicolas Celebration Concert. This festive holiday program features costumed Singers and a Double Reed Band (oboe, oboe d’amore, English horn and bassoon) who tell the story of the Dutch Sinterklass in song and narrative – a colonial celebration in Old Nieuw Amsterdam, fun for the whole family! Annual Candelight Tour 

Saturday, December 13th,  5pm- 8pm BD candlelight

Candlelight Tour – A Celebration of Trees Each room of the mansion will feature a tree decorated to the theme of the Nutcracker. Costumed tour guides will share the home with you and take you back over 100 years to how families like the Bartows may have celebrated the season. Finish your evening with warm cider and festive snacks. Tours will be given at 5, 6, and 7pm. Fee: $12 Adults, $8 Seniors/Students, free children under 6; Members: $10 Adults, $5 Senior/Students.
