NEWS: New Forest Hill's Preservation Initiative

From Michael [[email protected]]

Thought you might be interested in seeing the following Queens Chronicle article. Jeff Gottlieb, Pres. of the Central Queens Historical Association is also interested in forming a committee to advocate for potential landmarks & historic districts in Forest Hills. He recently held a ceremony to rededicate Forest Hills oldest & only row houses, which are between Queens Blvd & Austin St on 72nd Ave. They were erected in 1906 by Cord Meyer, and led to the development of the remainder of Forest Hills. They are mostly intact (minus one tasteless extension), & could use a restoration. Please share your thoughts on the article. Thanks!
