Terra Cotta, along with changes in building technology, greatly affected the construction industry in the early 20th century. Staten Island had two important terra cotta companies. Ms. Tunick will draw from her remarkable archive from the Friends of Terra Cotta and show how terra cotta contributed to the richness and beauty of New York City’s architecture.
