Trinity Lutheran Church on West 100th Street

Due to deep excavation and construction immediately beside us, we are forced to remove our beautiful, century old windows. We do not know if we will ever be able to afford the cost of returning them. For one hundred years, light has poured through these rare, painted windows that surveyed the wrecking balls of Robert Moses in the 50’s. (the only building in 32 acres to survive!). As we take leave of the windows, Trinity will host two events.

On Saturday, April 14th at 3pm, we invite all to come for a final viewing of our windows, including a brief historial review and insight from an art historian. Sunday, April 15th at 11am, our worship will be centered on a “Stations of the Windows,” with a brief meditation and blessing of each one. Removal will being the following day. All are welcome!
