Sitting within its boundaries is the award-winning “Greenest Block in Brooklyn”, East 25th Street, a block that teems with greenery and community enthusiasm. The East 25th Street Historic District was designated in 2020 and was the first in the neighborhood.

East Flatbush is bounded by Crown Heights and Empire Boulevard to the north; Brownsville and East 98th Street to the east; Flatlands/Canarsie and the Long Island Rail Road's Bay Ridge Branch to the south; and Flatbush and Bedford/Nostrand Avenues to the west.
