East Flatbush is not only rich in historic character but in nature as well. Sitting within its boundaries is the award-winning “Greenest Block in Brooklyn”, East 25th Street, a block that teems with greenery and community enthusiasm. The East 25th Street Historic District was designated in 2020 and was the first in the neighborhood.
East Flatbush was a Six to Celebrate neighborhood.
Location
East Flatbush is bounded by Crown Heights and Empire Boulevard to the north; Brownsville and East 98th Street to the east; Flatlands/Canarsie and the Long Island Rail Road's Bay Ridge Branch to the south; and Flatbush and Bedford/Nostrand Avenues to the west.
