The Historic Districts Council is reducing our global footprint! Starting with the Spring/Summer issue, HDC is distributing our signature newsletter – Districts Lines – exclusively online. It’s the same in-depth stories and design excellence you’ve come to expect, only now you can read it conveniently on your computer! In this issue you will find articles on planned developments in the South Street Seaport, a report from our 2009 Conference (including statements from Mayoral candidates on preservation concerns) and an in-depth article on the Landmarks Commission’s efforts to battle demolition-by-neglect, written by LPC Deputy Counsel John Weiss.
